Family Volunteer Day 2013 was a massive success! Metro Volunteers and the Children’s Museum of Denver hosted Family Volunteer Day on November 23, 2013. With over 100 people in attendance, this event engaged families and children in service to their community. Four volunteer projects were completed including making holiday cards for troops overseas, making paper faces for other children, decorating meal delivery bags, and card making for cancer survivors. Additionally, families were able to learn about organizations that welcome families volunteering together! Lastly, children were able to get their face painted, which was a huge hit with the kids.

Since we could write all day about how great this event was, but we’d rather show you. Check out our awesome video! Family Volunteer Day Video 2013

A huge thanks to all our sponsors: Whole Foods Southglenn, GenerationOn, CoBiz Financial, Jason’s Deli, Mile High United Way, Peak Resources Inc, Peepers Optical, US Bank, Wheeler Trigg O’Donnell LLP, and Kaiser Permanente.
